2004, oil on canvas, 4' x 5'. This is another "Dinosaurs in the Bible" image. It answers the nettlesome old question of why God honored Cain's sacrifice of meat but not Abel's sacrifice of grain: clearly God is a carnivore, and what more fitting carnivore than Tyrannosaurus rex, the "Tyrant King?" Cain is transformed into an apelike hominid to mark him. This painting is partly inspired by the book, "Ishmael."
edit: God, what a terrible photo. I'll have to try and take a better one.
i really like this, a lot, the only critique is how the photo is taken it doesnt do the piece justice, but its all good in the hood yo......or something either way good job
"why God honored Cain's sacrifice of meat but not Abel's sacrifice of grain"
Apologies in advance, for this is not critque of your art style, but of the accuracy of your description. I believe you have it backwards. According the to the bible, It was Abel who sacrificed meat and Cain who sacrificed grain. God honored Abels sacrfice. Cain was angry/jealous and killed Abel.
wasn't his grain sacrifice 'half assed and unsinceare" or so I'm trying to recall, the lamb was the choiciest of his flock, the grain was just grain. I forget. I always wounderd myself, thats what people told me.

to take better photographs of artwork, take it outside on a sunny day and put it in the shade, and use a tripod. then monkey with it in photoshop to resize it and tweak the colors a little, whatever it takes to make it more accurate.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
